The Communications & Media Relations Office works with all City departments and the City Council to provide current information to citizens about local government services and programs.

The Communicaions Office is responsible for informing the media of all City events and information that concerns our residents. The My Tyler e-mail newsletter was launched in 2003 as a tool to keep citizens better informed about their municipal government. The e-mail newsletter is produced by the Communications Office and sent out periodically to those who register on the MyTyler Page on this web site. The e-mails include the latest information, announcments and programing updates from all City of Tyler Departments. In an effort to better communicate City goals and accomplishments, the Communications Office produces an Annual Report and distributes it to citizens. The document highlights the City’s overall business philosophy and major accomplishements during the calendar year. The report is distributed to local homes and businesses as an insert in the Tyler Morning Telegraph.
