The City of Tyler is fortunate to offer its citizens more than 1,000 acres of parkland comprised of 25 parks throughout Tyler. Within these 25 parks there are playgrounds, athletic fields, walking trails, an amphitheater, tennis courts, multi-purpose courts and landscapes that help to lend an atmosphere of beauty and tranquility within a very busy urban environment.
Park Hours: All city parks, except Bergfeld Park and Hillside Park, shall be closed to the public between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., and it is unlawful to enter a park or remain upon a park during hours when a park is closed. Bergfeld Park shall be closed from sunset to sunrise, with the exception of the lighted tennis court area wherein tennis may be played until 10:00 p.m. Hillside Park shall be closed from sunset to sunrise. Exceptions may apply when activities sponsored or sanctioned by the City Parks Department are in progress and for thirty minutes after the conclusion of such activities.
