Tyler Public Library and Rotaract Club members from the University of Texas at Tyler join forces twice a week to offer an after-school reading club for “KIDZ” of all ages. Mondays from 3-6 p.m. and Fridays from 3-5 p.m., UT Tyler volunteers are on hand in the Library Story Room to read and listen, help with homework, create puppet shows, make crafts and just have FUN.
No registration is required, children may simply drop by the Story Room on Mondays and Fridays after 3 p.m. Parents are asked to remain in the Library building while their children attend KidzReadz.
UT Tyler volunteers are members of Rotaract -- a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. One of the missions of Rotary International is to actively promote literacy at home and abroad.
