The Crime Scene Unit is assigned to the Investigative Division. It consists of 1 Sergeant, 2 Investigators, and 1 civilian Identification Technician.  The Unit is on 24-hour call and responds to major crimes, including those in surrounding counties.  The Crime Scene Unit utilizes an Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) computer to identify unknown fingerprints recovered at crime scenes.
