Purchasing

The purpose of Purchasing is to establish a standard procedure for obtaining goods & services that complies with generally accepted purchasing procedures and State of Texas purchasing law.

It is the policy of the City of Tyler that the highest quality goods and services will be acquired for the lowest possible price. Purchasing is charged with establishing procedures and controls in the purchasing process to comply with all applicable purchasing laws and regulations. City procurement practices must conform to requirements as set out in the City Charter, City Code, and State Law.

If you would like your company’s name to be placed on the Official City of Tyler Vendor/Bid List, you must complete and submit the following application.
