Corporate Challenge Rules and Regulations

Eligibility

Any company located in Tyler and its rural surrounding communities may participate. Individuals must be 18 years of age and an employee of the qualifying company effective on Day 1, April 19, of the Corporate Challenge. Contract employees do qualify. Interns and temp workers do not qualify.

Teams found to have played an ineligible player will be disqualified from that event and that same event for the following year’s corporate challenge.

Event check-in

All players must check-in at the registration table prior to the start of their event. They must present a valid ID and have a completed waiver form on file. Acceptable forms of ID include an employee name badge which includes a photo, or driver’s license. There will be waiver forms at the registration table if the participant does not have one on file.

Event Schedules

The tentative event calendar will be posted online and distributed at the team coordinator meeting. This schedule is subject to change until all teams have submitted their team rosters and event agreement form. Once the schedule and brackets for each event have been finalized, these will be submitted to the team coordinator and posted online. It is the responsibility of the team coordinator to distribute the scheduling information to their corresponding company teams.

Start time is forfeit time. All players are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes prior to their event. Players must be checked in and ready to begin on time.

Changes in Player Roster

Changes to the team active roster may be made by an eligible company representative up until the start of the event.

Game stoppage and cancellation

Games may be stopped if a player is bleeding or has blood on their uniform. The player will be allowed to return if medical care is given within a reasonable amount of time. “Reasonable amount of time” is determined by the game referee or Corporate Challenge on-site representative.

Games may be canceled and rescheduled due to weather or other unforeseen events. Games will be rescheduled during the five-week scheduled parameter of the Corporate Challenge.

Unsportsmanlike Conduct

Players, coaches, or spectators may be disqualified, suspended, or removed if they conduct themselves in an unsportsmanlike manner. Physical aggression, verbal abuse, and/or taunting will not be tolerated.

It is important for players to remember that you are representing your company and the city of Tyler.
