Road closures will start on Friday, May 3, for the Red Dirt BBQ and Music Festival, which will be held on Saturday, May 4.
Broadway Avenue from Erwin Street to Ferguson Street and the left turn lane for the East Ferguson Street and Broadway Avenue intersection will close at 10 a.m. Load-in for the festival will begin at noon.
Portions of North College Avenue, Ferguson Street, West Erwin Street, and Broadway Avenue near the Downtown Tyler Square and Smith County Courthouse will close at 5:30 p.m.
Parking spaces around the Square will begin to be blocked off at 6 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m. for other Downtown spots.
Detours will be in place. We ask motorists to use alternate routes or use caution while traveling through Downtown. Roads will reopen on Sunday, May 5.
