Boards and Commissions fulfill an important role in City government by evaluating issues that affect our community and making recommendations to the Council for needed action. The City of Tyler's Boards and Commissions and the appointment process are described below. For additional information, please contact the City Clerk's Office at (903) 531-1106.
Eligibility
Members must reside inside the City limits, except when otherwise authorized by ordinance, City employees may not serve as members of the City boards established in subsection a.
Application
To be considered for a board member position, please submit the completed application below. Board appointments are made in August of each year. Applications are accepted year-round and will be kept on file until the next appointment process.
