/Holiday Garbage and Curbside Recycle Schedule

The Tyler Recycle Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2. 

Labor Day - Sept. 2, 2024

Monday 9/2 - NO COLLECTION 

Tuesday 9/3 - Routes normally collected Monday

Wednesday 9/4 - Routes normally collected Tuesday

Thursday 9/5 - Regular collection

Friday 9/6 - Regular collection

Yard waste of any kind including brush, tree limbs or bags of leaves will NOT be picked up during the holiday week. Only household garbage will be picked up. To reduce the chance of animals or weather scattering trash, please do not set garbage carts out before 6 p.m. on the day before the scheduled collection day. Per Sec. 16-4 ordinance, garbage carts must be removed by 7 a.m. the morning after the scheduled collection day. 

Holiday calendars for garbage, and Holiday calendars are posted on our web page.   During holiday weeks, priority is given to household waste. Crews will pick up as much curb trash and yard waste as time and/or space allows. 

Please download our FREE APP "Tyler Talks Trash" on your smart phone. The app will allow you to receive notification of any changes to the holiday schedules.

Recycling Pick-Up and Schedule

The City has been separated into 8 different recycle routes so we are no longer able to post each calendar online, however, you can print out a calendar for your address by going to the Tyler Talks Trash App mentioned above.
