2-1-1 Texas, a program of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, is committed to helping Texas citizens connect with the services they need. Whether by phone or internet, our goal is to present accurate, well-organized and easy-to-find information from over 60,000 state and local health and human services programs.
Signing up for alerts is easy! Simply follow the RAVE alert link and create your Smart911 with RAVE Alert account. You will then be able to select which alerts from the City of Tyler, Smith County and surrounding areas you would like to receive.
Account users may sign up to receive email and text message alerts. In addition, users may opt to provide additional information like medical conditions, pet information, house description and more. This gives first responders access to critical information on how best to respond to your family’s needs in an emergency situation. All information is secure and will not be shared publicly.

The STEAR program is a free registry that provides local emergency planners and emergency responders with additional information on the needs in their community. Registering for STEAR doesn't guarantee you assistance in an emergency. By registering in STEAR you are consenting to sharing your information with first responders and other state agencies during a disaster.
The Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT) Damage Surveys allows Texans whose homes were damaged by recent rain/storm events, to report damages to the Texas Division of Emergency Management. Reporting damages will help state and local emergency management officials identify and gain an understanding of damages from these storms.
Reporting damages to Emergency Management is a voluntary activity and is not a substitute for reporting damages to your insurance agency and does not guarantee disaster relief assistance.
