The City of Tyler Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of services and activities to residents and visitors. We maintain 28 parks, which offer organized and open areas for recreation, enjoying a picnic, listening to music, fishing and children’s play. There are more than 60 miles of trails winding through Tyler and are suited for a variety of activities including walking, cycling, hiking and running.

Community residents and visitors alike also enjoy the use of the W.T. Brookshire Conference CenterTyler Rose Garden, Goodman-LeGrand Museum & Gardens, Tyler Senior Center , and Glass Recreation Center, which are utilized for planned group programs and classes, birthdays, baby showers, community meetings, and their various amenities.

Tyler Parks and Recreation also maintains Faulkner Tennis Center, Fun Forest Pool, five splash pads, three cemeteries, and 130 medians throughout Tyler.

In addition, Parks and Recreation facilitates many events for outside organizations, but has also hosted several community events. To reserve a picnic area, pavilion or other park area a Special Event Permit must be completed. We invite you to explore our website and Find Your Fun with us!
