Rain Policy

If your program is an outdoor program, impending or current rain may cause us to cancel the program. If you are worried your class, event or program might cancel, dial the facility number listed below. For league practices and play, the Activities Specialist and Parks Superintendent will decide if the fields are playable and will contact the league manager as soon as possible.

If your class or program has additional sessions, the instructor will discuss a make-up class date at the next class, if possible. If your class or program is a one-time class or program, your instructor may choose to cancel the class/program completely. If you have any further questions, please contact your instructor/coach. Severe Weather Policy

The City of Tyler Parks and Recreation Department prioritizes the safety of residents and visitors for all events and programming. If severe weather such as tornadoes, thunder/lightning storms, flooding or winter weather storms (i.e. snow, ice, and/or hail) are detected, we reserve the right to reschedule and/or cancel any event for the safety of the public. Whenever possible, arrangements will be made in advance to reschedule/cancel events. If you have any further questions, please be contact the appropriate facility listed below.
