Since 1995, Keep Tyler Beautiful has been encouraging beautification, waste reduction and recycling activities in the community. Sustainability and the "reduce, reuse, recycle" mantra are a large part of how KTyB functions.

Every November, Keep Tyler Beautiful hosts Tyler Recycles Day in conjunction with Keep America Beautiful's America Recycles Day. We encourage the community to get out and utilize more sustainable methods of removing waste and clutter from their homes. This is a great time to clean out your attic, garage, shed or other areas that accumulate junk.

The Downtown Recycling Center will be accepting our usual items like plastic, metal, electronics, paper, cardboard, glass, etc. We will also have document shredding provided by Ark-La-Tex shredding, battery recycling provided by Interstate Battery along with bulky item and tire drop off all free of cost.

Tyler Recycles Day is scheduled for Nov. 9, 2024 from 8 a.m. - Noon at the Downtown Recycle Center located at 418 N. Bois D'Arc Avenue. This is a free, drive-thru event for all Tyler area residents.

For more information, please call KTyB at (903) 531-1335 or Solid Waste at (903) 531-1388.
