Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • 1st & 3rd floor public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

East Texas Genealogical Society

Our friends at the East Texas Genealogical Society are meeting once again! Come join some of the greatest genealogical experts in the region as they share their knowledge with us. The ETGS meets the second Saturday of each month at 2 p.m. in the Taylor Auditorium. You do not have to be a member to attend meeting. While the Tyler Public Library supports the ETGS, they are an outside organization. If you would like to learn more about the Society or how to become a member, visit their website.
