Bi-Annual Book Sale

The Tyler Public Library hosts a bi-annual book sale in the spring and fall each year, depending on available materials. These sales consist of materials that are removed from the library's collection for various reasons and donated materials that we decide not to add to the collection.

Book Nook

The Book Nook is a year-round sale area located near the stairwell on the first floor. Books range in price from $0.50 to $2. DVDs, CDs, and audiobook can also be found for sale in the Book Nook.

How do book sales support the Library?

Profits from the bi-annual book sales and year-round sales from the Book Nook fund replacement copies of materials, repairs, and other collection related needs. All sales go directly to the Tyler Public Library. 

How can you help with the sales?

Volunteer

Become a volunteer at the bi-annual book sales. Help us set up materials, run the sale table, and assist book sale customers with their purchases.

You can also volunteer to help with the year-round Book Nook area. Duties include sorting and processing incoming donations, pricing materials, assisting with the removal of beyond repair books, and more. 

The bi-annual sales and Book Nook are only made possible thanks to the amazing volunteers of the Tyler Public Library!

Donate Materials

Another way to help is to donate materials. Any materials that are donated to the Library that are not placed in our collection are placed in the book sale or Book Nook.
