Paper House Contest
The 4th Annual Paper House Contest has concluded, and the randomly selected winners are Layton M. for the Haunted House category and Adley E. for the Everyday House/Building category. Congratulations to both winners, and excellent work to all the kids who submitted entries! They were incredible! Children may pick up their paper house to take home by November 15. Thank you to the Friends of the Library for providing supplies to create paper houses, and thank you to PopShelf for sponsoring rewards for the winners!
Winter Reading Challenge Kick-off
Saturday, December 7 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Kick off the Winter Reading Challenge on Saturday, Dec. 7th at Tyler Public Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.! This year we'll be celebrating our mascot, Chadwick the Owl's 10th Birthday Party! Join us to give Chadwick the best b-day ever with games, cookie decorating, sweet treats, and more. Stay tuned for more information to come about the big day and special guest Santa Claus' visit!
Dungeons and Dragons Club
November 5 and 19 at 5 p.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)
For Grades 8-12: Tweens and teens can learn the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons on the first and third Tuesdays each month. Club registration is required. Registration is currently closed.
Styrofoam Goop Program
November 7 at 5 p.m. | Library Front Patio
For grades 3 and up: Sign up here to explore the chemical and physical properties of Styrofoam and make Styrofoam goop.
Homeschool Libratory
November 12 at 2 p.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)
For kids ages 5-12: join us to learn about planes and math with Tyler Pounds Regional Airport Director, Steve Thompson.
Family Tree Program
November 14 at 6 p.m. | Auditorium (First Floor)
For kids in K-12 and their families: sign up here to create a wire tree, celebrating your family.
Air Dry Clay Crafting Program
November 15 at 5:00 p.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)
For grades 3 and up: Sign up here for children to learn how to make their own air-dry clay and make an ornament or sculpture to take home. Space is limited to 15 children. When registering, please select 1 under the Quantity option to register your child.
Art 4 Fun Program
November 21 from 5-6:30 p.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)
For grades 3 and up: sign up here to attend and make 3-D cube art. This illustrated 3-D cube is a visual reminder of the six foundational elements of art. Registration is required.

Each month, our Rover Cart features a STEAM-oriented activity for kids to do when they visit the library. November will feature a leaf pattern and tessellation activity.
