Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • 1st & 3rd floor public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

Library Calendar

Dressed to Read (All Month Long)

For children of all ages. Information Desk (First Floor).

The Library is excited announce the annual Dressed to Read event for all age children! Children can visit the Library in costume and receive a FREE book provided by East Texas Communities Foundation any day Oct. 1-31! Children will also receive a coupon to redeem at Ground Zero Comics for a FREE comic book! There is a limit of one visit in costume per child to receive a free book and coupon. Books may be picked up at the Information Desk on the first floor. A library card is not required to participate.
