Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • 1st & 3rd floor public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

Taylor Auditorium at Tyler Public Library

October 23, 2024

3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

 

  •  Call meeting to order.
  • Conduct a roll call, establish a quorum, and explain the rules of decorum.
  • Discuss and consider minutes from the previous board meeting on August 28, 2024.
  • Present, discuss, receive public comment, and request that the Library Advisory Board consider recommending that the City Council consider amending Tyler City Code Chapter 9 by amending the fees provision to establish a rental fee for the use of Taylor Auditorium after regular operating hours.
  • Review and discuss library statistics and programming as follows.
    • Youth programs and statistics
    • Adult programs and statistics
    • Computer lab statistics
  • Adjourn
